!Guest Editor: Christopher Todd Alamo Schuman, Colorado
OH HEY:
you MUST follow these guidelines, or your submission will be dismissed
NO JOKE
This shit is elite, we are high class, very busy, and maybe even lazy
The new issue is going to be unique from the previous issues:
a MAXIMUM of 15 - 20 artists with at least five works each -
fewer artists, more work;
more focus, less filler;
ELITISM, real talk.
FIRST AND FOREMOST::::
-EVERY ARTIST’S SUBMISSION MUST INCLUDE A MINIMUM of FIVE (5) pieces of work [ this can mean 5+ pieces of any combination of any medium of work - 5 short stories, 5 poems, 5 long stories, 5 photos, 5 paintings, mix n match WHATEVZ THERE HAS TO BE AT LEAST FIVE]
***PLEASE SUBMIT MORE THAN 5 PIECES TO BE CONSIDERED***
-ALL SUBMISSIONS MUST BE EMAILED AS SEPARATE ATTACHMENTS. [ ABSOLUTELY NO work will be considered if sent in body of email/gchat/facebook message - we are too busy to copy/paste/etc. Seriously, don’t do it. ]
Do you meet these qualifications? then...
PROCEED::
-Work can be of ANY size/length
-There is NO MAXIMUM number of pieces or length of work you may submit. It’s a free for all.
- You may submit ANY form of art - printable or not. The website will soon feature a page for music, performance, new media, etc. See below:
-If you are submitting for the VIDEOSOUNDS page on the website, find a way to attach them to the email. We don’t want to navigate your
myspace/vimeo pages - NO MINIMUM/MAXIMUM FOR DIGITAL SUBMISSIONS.
-All visual submissions MUST BE IN THE HIGHEST RESOLUTION TECHNOLOGICALLY POSSIBLE or else it’s worthless. We will not
come calling for a bigger version, even if we really like it.
-No weird fonts. Helvetica is old. Life is short. Times New Roman size 11 only because that shit is classy and fly and real - UNLESS you can
present a legitimate argument as to why your work must be presented in some particular way in order to succeed as a piece (DOUBT
IT). Also, don’t double space unless that’s how the piece is meant to be read. This isn’t a workshop. We don’t want your margin space.
"It’s ugly." -Alamo
-Please DO NOT submit something that is being considered for other publications. We do not want to receive an email with requests to
withdraw work. However, all rights revert back to the artist once the work is published, so do with it what you will afterwards.
-IN YOUR SUBMISSION EMAIL:
subject line must say: ‘ISSUE 3 SUBMISSION’
body of email must include:
Full name
Phone number
Hometown & Current Location
Schools attended (if any)
Current occupation (if any)
Current ‘projects’
How you heard about FF
[we do not want a biography - if your work is accepted, then we will ask for one. the above information is strictly for aiding in the grant
processes and it will not be shared with anyone. any information used towards statistics for grants will be anonymized. promise. But
also, of course, we want to know the demographic of the artists we are working with.]
-Don’t submit bad work.
